The Atlantic Port of La Rochelle has implemented a policy for managing waste from ships, promoting their sorting, recycling and recovery. The objective is to reduce waste discharges from vessels by improving the availability and use of waste reception facilities in the port, thereby improving the protection of marine environment.
Depending on the amount and type of waste products, vessels calling must deposit their waste sorted at points on the docks called "Points MARPOL". See the waste sorting guide or use the waste service providers approved by the Port (ask to your agent).
